About Me:

Sophie Otto is the owner of Otto Equine Services LLC. She has had a passion for horses from an early age and took advantage of riding lessons and working at local barns. Her passion for training began with her own horse and in 2018 led her to the Black Hawk College Equestrian Program in Galva, IL. Sophie competed on the Western Show team and Horse Judging team, as well as interned for Van Hargis, a ranch and colt trainer, and Double G cutting horses in Texas. After graduating, Sophie took the opportunity of working at a guest ranch in Montana, where she worked with a variety of horses and guests.

Always looking to learn more, Sophie studied equine biomechanics and massage therapy and is a certified equine sports massage therapist through Midwest Natural Healing for Animals. This knowledge of healthy movement and posture greatly influences Sophie's style of training. Sophie's goal when working with any horse, is to meet them where they are both mentally and physically to holistically strengthen the horse to be your life-long partner.
